Israeli blogger meet-up
Last week, I had the fortune to meet another two dozen English-language bloggers in Israel. Here’s my belated wrap-up. The event, hosted by fellow food blogger Sarah Melamed of Foodbridge, was the second by this group, and was organized by Miriam Kresh of Israeli Kitchen (another food blog!) and Hannah Katsman of Cooking Manager (cooking for large families) and A Mother in Israel (commentary, politics, life in general).
Since the food bloggers are clearly closest to my heart — during the break, we inspected some weird green vegetable in Sarah’s kitchen — I’ll name them first: Michelle Nordell of Baroness Tapuzina, Yael Lee, who writes Apples and Honey (in Finnish), and Dena Lerner of Israel Restaurant Review.
Our guest speaker was Jacob Share, who writes the top-ranked job hunt blog JobMob as well as Group Writing Projects. Hannah wrote a summary of Jacob’s tips for bloggers.
Also present were Shira Abel of Tchochkes, a design blog; Robin of Around the Island, a lovely photography blog; David Nordell of Terror Finance; Blanche Melamed of Blanche and Guy Designs; Harry Rubenstein of The View From Here; Kate of One Tired Ema; Baila Brecher of I’ll Call Baila; Nissan Ratzlav-Katz, who covers the Israeli business culture (in Hebrew); and Scott Piro, with the new-immigrant blog Gefilte Fish Out of Water.
More such events are planned in the future. In the meanwhile, these links should keep all y’all busy.
