Finally had time to sit down and read all the blogs I follow. Yours is the one that stopped me in my tracks.

"A very moderate rocket or two a day..." It was only a month ago I visited my son currently serving in the IDF (he was allowed a few days off), which included a couple of days in Tel Aviv and Dizengoff St. I don't know what my reaction would have been if rockets were launched at the time, but "moderate" would most likely not have been my description. I hope the cease-fire holds.

nice post! Thanks for not being political. My daughter lives in the Shomron and it's such a pleasure to get your blog which is focused on food and what you like about Israel and the places you visit. Even this post was "how-it-is" rather than politics. My not-Jewish daughter-in-law reads your blog too. She sees a nice side of Israel from your blog. I'm grateful.

Nice post..says a lot...i also live in Jerusalem but have been in the south more than once when the sirens and the booms happen..before the Iron Dome was deployed. You are right, life goes on..you run for shelter then continue the conversation in a few minutes.. It shouldn't be like that though. Our ability as Israelis to adjust to situations is sometimes to our disadvantage. We should demand zero tolerance on the attacks, not learn to adjust to them. Nachon?
