Hi Rosie, I think that most of these beers are not available in stores yet. However, I know I’ve seen a bunch of liquor stores with boutique Israeli beers — Derekh Ha’yain is supposed to have a good selection. There’s a place on the corner of Ibn Gvirol and Arlosoroff that carries lots of microwbrews, as do some of the liquor stores on Ha’aliya. I’d guess that a place like Hinawi also has them. Basically, I’d try any semi-serious liquor store.

What a great post! I attended the Expo but neglected to write down the names of the beers I enjoyed. Where can you find these in Tel Aviv? I know Tiv Ta’am sometimes has a wider selection than the standard Goldstar, Tubor, Carlsberg, and Stella, but I still have trouble finding the Israeli beers.

Now you know what to look for in stores …. hopefully the cider will make its rounds, distribution really is just beginning for many of these breweries.

Sorry I missed the Beer expo. A few years ago I tasted pumpkin beer that Isaac D1 made (for Halloween I think). I remember liking this combination very much.
